What is an emergency?
An emergency is something that could not have been foreseen and which could cause serious damage to the property or poses health and safety risks to the occupiers.
Examples:
What isn't an emergency?
When an issue does not pose an immediate threat to the property or does not pose health and safety risks to the occupiers it is not an emergency.
Examples:
Fire
In the event of a fire in the Property, you must evacuate the Property immediately, call the emergency services on 999 and ask for the Fire Brigade.
Water
If you have any problems with the supply of the water coming into the Property, call Scottish Water on 0845 600 8855. If there is a leak in the Property, you should first turn off the water at the stopcock immediately. To ensure your safety please ensure that when you first move into the Property you should familiarize yourself with the location of the main water stopcock.
Gas
If you smell gas, you should not turn on or off any electrical switches and turn off the gas immediately at the supply by turning the handle so it is horizontal. You should evacuate the Property immediately and call Transco on 0800 111 999. To ensure your safety please ensure that when you first move into the Property you should familiarize yourself with the location of the gas shut off valve.

Should you require a LOCKSMITH or your issue relates to the ELECTRICITY supply to your property (not white goods or other appliances) please call 0800 3890 537 quoting Premier Properties as your managing agent.
DO NOT contact this number if your landlord has provided with you with an out of hours service via the likes of British Gas HomeCare, Saltire or otherwise. Should you instruct any other trades other than the policy your landlord has provided you with you will be liable for all associated costs.

Before allowing any engineer to attend and in order to solve the issue as early as possible, if you have a gas boiler please ensure that the boiler pressure is at the appropriate level (1.0 - 1.5) and that you have carried out all other necessary procedures including re-setting the boiler, ensuring the thermostat is powered appropriately (with replacement batteries if required) and having enough credit on your gas meter.
Ensure that you are experiencing a true emergency and that the issue cannot be resolved during our office opening hours.
